Craftsmanship begins where others stop. For forty years, FRD has made what others called too challenging, not through bravado, but through patience, precision and care.

Every commission is a question no one has yet answered. We learn, test and refine until the designer’s vision is revealed in full. A finish isn’t complete until it’s right, and a piece isn’t ready until it’s worthy of the name it will carry for a century.

From our home on the Shaftesbury Estate, knowledge passes by hand from one generation of makers to the next. Under new ownership, our purpose is unchanged: to help designers, architects and artists realise what they imagine.
